The Li-Ning AxForce 30 4U is the entry point into Li-Ning's attacking lineup. Head-heavy balance, flexible shaft, and the Sonic Boom System that gives clean smashes an audible crack. Built for intermediate players who want power without the timing demands of a stiff-shaft racket.
Key specs

- Balance: head-heavy (offensive)
- Shaft: flexible
- Material: high-modulus carbon fibre
- Grip size: G5
- Maximum string tension: 35 lbs
- Player level: intermediate
How the Sonic Boom System actually works
Li-Ning has tuned the frame geometry so that clean contact produces a sharper, louder crack on the smash than most rackets at this price. The sound is real and reproducible. It also doubles as feedback: clean strikes sound different from frame mishits, which helps newer attacking players develop contact awareness within a few sessions.
How it plays on court
The flexible shaft does the heavy lifting on the smash. It bends through the swing, stores energy, and releases it at impact, so you get usable power even if your swing mechanics are still developing. This is why the AxForce 30 suits players upgrading from a beginner racket rather than seasoned attackers, who usually prefer the directness of a stiff shaft.
Defence and front-court play are honest weaknesses. The head-heavy balance slows wrist flicks and recovery, so it is not the right pick for fast doubles or net rallies.
Who this racket suits
- Intermediate singles players building an attacking game
- Players upgrading from beginner-level head-heavy rackets
- Anyone whose smash power is being limited by the racket, not by technique
Who should skip it
- Fast doubles players who need quick wrist flicks and rapid recovery. Look at the AxForce Cannon 5U or the Aeronaut series.
- Strong attackers with refined timing who prefer a stiff shaft. Look at the AxForce 60, 70, or 80.
- Beginners with under 6 months of play. The head weight and 4U mass fatigue smaller players quickly.
Recommended string and tension
For most intermediates: 24 to 28 lbs with Li-Ning No. 5, N69, or Yonex BG65. The string bed feels forgiving and the smash still pops.
For advanced players: 28 to 32 lbs with a power string like Yonex BG80 Power or Li-Ning N68 for a sharper response.
The 35 lbs maximum is on the spec sheet, but stay below 32 lbs unless your smash contact is clean and consistent. High tension on imperfect contact stresses the frame without giving usable power.

Frequently asked questions
Is the AxForce 30 stiff or flexible?
The AxForce 30 has a flexible shaft. The flex stores and releases energy during the swing, which is what makes the smash feel powerful without demanding perfect timing.
What is the maximum string tension on the AxForce 30?
35 lbs. Most intermediate players should stay between 24 and 28 lbs for the best balance of power and string life.
Is the AxForce 30 good for doubles?
It is not the best fit for doubles. The head-heavy balance slows wrist flicks and net play. For doubles, the AxForce Cannon 5U or any 4U Aeronaut model recovers faster.
AxForce 30 vs AxForce 60: which should I buy?
The AxForce 60 has a stiffer shaft and suits players with developed smash mechanics who want a more direct power response. The AxForce 30 is more forgiving and suits players still building their attacking game. If you are unsure which one fits, the 30 is the safer pick.
How does the AxForce 30 compare to Yonex Astrox 88D?
The 88D Game sit in a similar price and skill band. The Astrox line uses a stiffer feel and a Rotational Generator System for weight distribution. The AxForce 30 trades that stiffness for a softer flex and adds the Sonic Boom feedback on clean smashes. Players who like a softer, more forgiving smash usually prefer the AxForce 30.
Is the Sonic Boom System just marketing?
The louder smash sound on clean contact is real and reproducible. Whether it improves your game depends on whether you use it as feedback or just enjoy the sound.
Can a beginner use the AxForce 30?
Players with at least 6 months of regular play can grow into it. Total beginners should start with a lighter, more balanced racket like the Halbertec or Wind Lite series before moving to head-heavy attacking frames.
Does the AxForce 30 come strung?
No. The AxForce 30 ships unstrung. Add string and tension at checkout or string it locally.

If you order the Grip, then it will be shipped separately in a corrugated box. The grip will not be applied over the racket to avoid the removal of Barcode/MRP and other useful information. This also helps in understanding that the product is new and unused. Grip color will be assorted/Random, no specific color will be provided.
If you select Custom Stringing, the racket will be strung with the selected string at a maximum of 26 lbs (if the racket supports), otherwise at the maximum tension the racket supports. We don't provide the facility to string more than 26 lbs to avoid transit shock damage.
If you are looking for higher tension, then we suggest that you string it at your end.
There is NO Warranty/Replacement of the strings that break during play, whether that's your first shot or 10th game.
** Custom Stringing Rackets require 2 days extra time for shipping, and such orders can't be cancelled once placed.
