What the technology does on court

  • Tuff Tip upper: a tougher, scuff-resistant layer at the toe and other high-stress areas. Your toe drags along the floor in deep forecourt lunges, which is where most badminton shoes wear through first.
  • Riptide traction: the ripple-shaped outsole pattern grips the court at several angles. The shoe holds when you push off into a lunge or stop hard after a side step.
  • High-rebound midsole: the foam soaks up landing impact after jump smashes and gives some energy back for your next step. Li-Ning says it stays responsive through long sessions.

Who should buy the Ranger Force

  • Club and academy players who train four or more days a week and usually wear out shoes at the toe.
  • Players with an aggressive net game and quick recovery steps, where grip on push-off matters most.

Sizing tip

Li-Ning shoes use UK sizing. Measure your longer foot in centimetres, from heel to longest toe, and match it to the size chart. Li-Ning's own advice is to go one size up if your feet are thick or wide, and one size down if they are narrow. Wear your badminton socks when you measure.

Care and court use

  • Wear them only on indoor wooden, synthetic or PU courts. Outdoor concrete wears down a non-marking outsole quickly.
  • Wipe the outsole on a dusty court. A clean sole grips noticeably better.
  • Air them out after every session and take the insole out if it gets damp. Avoid machine washing and drying in direct sun.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Li-Ning Ranger Force a non-marking shoe?

Yes. The Ranger Force has a non-marking rubber outsole, so it is safe for indoor wooden and synthetic courts and won't leave black streaks.

What is the weight of the Li-Ning Ranger Force?

About 300 g per shoe, or 600 g per pair, as listed by Li-Ning India. That puts it in the mid-weight range for badminton shoes.

What is the MRP of the Li-Ning Ranger Force in India?

The MRP is ₹10,990, inclusive of all taxes. The current SportsUncle selling price is shown at the top of this page.

Where is the Li-Ning Ranger Force made?

It is made in Vietnam by Vietnam Victory Shoes Company Limited and imported into India by Sunlight Sports Pvt. Ltd.

Are AYTV079 and AYT079 the same shoe?

Yes. AYTV079 is Li-Ning India's article code for the Ranger Force. Some stores write it as AYT079, or as AYTVO79 with the letter O. All of them refer to the same shoe.

Is the Ranger Force good for beginners?

Li-Ning rates it for intermediate to advanced players. A beginner can wear it comfortably, but if you play casually, a lighter entry-level shoe costs less and will do the job.

Can I use the Ranger Force for squash or indoor pickleball?

Yes, on indoor courts. The non-marking outsole and lateral grip suit most indoor court sports. It is not built for outdoor hard courts.

Does the Li-Ning Ranger Force fit wide feet?

It has a standard fit rather than a wide-fit last. If your feet are wide or thick, Li-Ning recommends going one size up.

To measure your foot, place a blank piece of paper larger than your foot on the floor against the wall. Tape the paper down to the floor. Stand on the paper with your heel slightly touching the wall. Then use a pen to draw a straight line touching the outermost point of your toe.

Use your ruler or measuring tape to measure the length from the bottom of the paper to the top line that you drew.

This number is your actual foot measurement, you can add 1-2 cm and convert them to the appropriate size.
