Key Technologies

Rotational Generator System — weight distributed at the grip end and top of the frame works together to multiply rotational force, delivering faster swing speed at impact.

Aero+ Box Frame — combines the rigidity of a box frame with aerodynamic profiling so you lose nothing on swing speed while gaining structural stability.

Rexis Shaft + Slim Shaft Design — thinner, lighter shaft reduces air resistance mid-swing and transfers energy efficiently from arm to shuttlecock.

Nanomesh Neo + Light Feel Carbon Neo — high-modulus graphite reinforced with nano-level materials keeps the frame light while improving repulsion and feel at the string bed.

Isometric Head Shape — enlarged sweet spot compared to conventional oval frames, reducing mishits on off-centre contacts.

Energy Boost Cap Plus — redesigned cap geometry allows a more natural grip transition and contributes to the racket's head-heavy balance.

Who Is This Racket For?

The AX77 Tour is best suited for players who rely on steep smashes and deceptive drop shots from the rear court. The medium flex shaft makes it more forgiving than a stiff racket — you get power even if your timing isn't perfect — while the 10mm extended frame naturally steepens your attack angle. If you're coming from a control-oriented racket and want more punch without switching to a full stiff shaft, this is the upgrade path.

Not recommended for pure net players or those who prioritize flat drives over steep angles.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between Yonex Astrox 77 and Astrox 77 Tour?
The Astrox 77 Tour is a higher-tier variant with Tour-grade graphite construction (Carbon Neo, Nanomesh Neo), an Aero+ Box Frame, and the Rexis Shaft — all of which are absent or downgraded in the base Astrox 77. The Tour is heavier in terms of build quality but remains at 4U weight.

Is the Astrox 77 Tour head-heavy or head-light?
Head-heavy. The Rotational Generator System distributes counter-weight at the grip end to amplify the head's rotational momentum, which increases smash speed at impact.

What tension should I string Yonex Astrox 77 Tour at?
Yonex recommends 20–28 lbs for the 4U version. Intermediate players typically start at 22–24 lbs for a balance of power and durability. Advanced players who generate their own power often string at 26–28 lbs for sharper control.

Is Astrox 77 Tour suitable for doubles?
Yes, particularly for the rear-court attacker role in doubles. Its steep smash angle and extended frame length make it highly effective in aggressive doubles play.

If you order the Grip, then it will be shipped separately in a corrugated box. The grip will not be applied over the racket to avoid the removal of Barcode/MRP and other useful information. This also helps in understanding that the product is new and unused. Grip color will be assorted/Random, no specific color will be provided.

If you select Custom Stringing, the racket will be strung with the selected string at a maximum of 26 lbs (if the racket supports), otherwise at the maximum tension the racket supports. We don't provide the facility to string more than 26 lbs to avoid transit shock damage.

If you are looking for higher tension, then we suggest that you string it at your end.

There is NO Warranty/Replacement of the strings that break during play, whether that's your first shot or 10th game.

** Custom Stringing Rackets require 2 days extra time for shipping, and such orders can't be cancelled once placed.
