The Apacs Finapi 232 Reborn is a lightweight 85 g intermediate badminton racket with an even to slightly head-heavy balance, a medium-flex slim shaft, and a high-modulus Japanese graphite frame. It gives easy power and a quick swing, and plays best strung at 24 to 28 lbs.
The Reborn is the current version of the long-running Finapi 232, one of Apacs's most popular budget power rackets in India. Apacs positions it in its power series, but the balance point sits closer to neutral than a true head-heavy frame, which is why most players find it easy to swing and fast around the net.
How it plays
Power without the weight. At about 85 g with a wide, aero-style frame, the Finapi 232 Reborn generates good pace on clears and smashes without feeling heavy through the swing. It rewards a full arm action more than a wrist-only flick.
Even balance, easy handling. With a balance point near 285 mm, this is closer to an even-balanced racket than a hard head-heavy one. You get some power bias, but net play and fast defensive blocks stay comfortable, which suits doubles and all-court players.
Medium-flex slim shaft. The slim, medium-flex shaft is forgiving. It loads and returns power for players with a slower or still-developing swing, so timing does not have to be perfect to get a clean shot away.
Who it is for
- Improving beginners and intermediate players who want easy power.
- All-court and doubles players who value a fast, maneuverable frame.
- Anyone wanting a genuine graphite racket around the budget price point without a stiff, punishing feel.
Who should skip it
- Advanced attackers who want a stiff shaft and a genuinely head-heavy frame for steep, flat smashes. This shaft is too flexible and the balance too neutral for that game.
- Players chasing very high string tension. The advertised high maximum is a frame-capacity figure, not a playing recommendation. If you routinely string at 30 lbs and above, look at a stiffer frame.
- Anyone who wants a strung, ready-to-play racket out of the box. This is the unstrung version.
Recommended stringing
String the Finapi 232 Reborn at 24 to 28 lbs for the best mix of power and control. A thin 0.66 mm gauge string adds repulsion and a livelier feel, while a 0.70 mm string lasts longer if you tend to mishit. Going higher than the recommended range trades away the racket's natural power and raises the risk of frame stress over time.

Frequently asked questions
Is the Apacs Finapi 232 Reborn head heavy or even balance?
It has a balance point near 285 mm, which is even to slightly head-heavy. Apacs markets it as a power frame, but it feels more maneuverable than a true head-heavy racket, so net and defensive play stay easy.
How much string tension can the Finapi 232 Reborn take?
For normal play, string it at 24 to 28 lbs. Apacs advertises a higher maximum, but that is a frame-capacity claim, not a recommended playing tension. Staying in the 24 to 28 lb range gives the best power and protects the frame.
Is the Finapi 232 Reborn good for beginners?
Yes, for improving beginners and intermediate players. The flexible medium shaft and light weight make it forgiving and easy to swing, so you do not need perfect timing to get power.
What is the weight of the Finapi 232 Reborn?
It weighs about 85 g, which is a 4U weight class. That keeps the swing fast while still giving enough mass for power on clears and smashes.
Does the racket come strung?
No, this is the unstrung version. You can add stringing at checkout and we will string it to your chosen tension before dispatch.
Where is the Apacs Finapi 232 Reborn made?
It is manufactured in Vietnam.

If you order the Grip, then it will be shipped separately in a corrugated box. The grip will not be applied over the racket to avoid the removal of Barcode/MRP and other useful information. This also helps in understanding that the product is new and unused. Grip color will be assorted/Random, no specific color will be provided.
If you select Custom Stringing, the racket will be strung with the selected string at a maximum of 26 lbs (if the racket supports), otherwise at the maximum tension the racket supports. We don't provide the facility to string more than 26 lbs to avoid transit shock damage.
If you are looking for higher tension, then we suggest that you string it at your end.
There is NO Warranty/Replacement of the strings that break during play, whether that's your first shot or 10th game.
** Custom Stringing Rackets require 2 days extra time for shipping, and such orders can't be cancelled once placed.
