The Li-Ning No.1 Boost is a thin 0.66 mm badminton string built for extreme repulsion power and a crisp hitting sound. Its nano-braided multifilament core and elastic resin coating give it a softer feel and better durability than the original No.1, which is why it is a favourite of aggressive, attacking players. Made in Japan, 10 m per set, available in white, yellow, red, black and orange.

Frequently asked questions
What tension should I string the Li-Ning No.1 Boost at?
Most players do best between 24 and 27 lbs for a mix of repulsion and durability. Advanced players can go up to 29 lbs. Do not exceed 30 lbs, and always check your racket's tension limit first.
Is the Li-Ning No.1 Boost good for power and smashing?
Yes. Its 0.66 mm gauge and elastic core give extreme repulsion and a loud, crisp hitting sound, which is why attacking players who play from the back court prefer it.
What is the difference between the No.1 and the No.1 Boost?
The Boost adds a nano-braided core and an elastic resin coating, giving a softer feel and better durability than the original No.1 while keeping the same or higher repulsion.
Li-Ning No.1 Boost or Yonex BG66 Ultimax?
Both are thin repulsion strings. The BG66 Ultimax is 0.65 mm with a slightly sharper feel; the No.1 Boost is 0.66 mm with a softer, more durable feel. Choose the Boost for value and durability, the BG66 for the sharpest response.
How durable is it?
For a thin repulsion string it is reasonably durable thanks to the resin coating, but thin strings always trade some string life for feel. Hard hitters should expect to restring more often.
