What Play, Game, Tour and Pro mean
Yonex uses the same four levels across its main series. The frame shape stays the same; the materials and price go up with each level.
- Play: entry level. Easier power and a more forgiving shaft.
- Game: club level. Better materials and a firmer feel.
- Tour: advanced level. Close to the pro model at a lower price.
- Pro / ZZ: top level, made in Japan. Built for strong, consistent hitters.

Frequently asked questions
What is the price of a Yonex badminton racket in India?
Yonex rackets at SportsUncle range from under ₹2,000 for pre-strung beginner models to over ₹18,000 for the Japan-made Astrox 100VA ZZ. Most club players buy in the ₹3,000 to ₹9,000 range.
Which Yonex racket is best for beginners?
A light, pre-strung racket such as the Nanoflare 8000i, or a Play-level model like the Astrox 10 or Arcsaber 7 Play. Avoid stiff, head-heavy Tour and Pro models until your swing is consistent.
Do Yonex rackets come strung?
Budget models usually come pre-strung. Most Play, Game, Tour and Pro models ship unstrung so you can choose your own string and tension. Paid stringing is available at checkout.
Is Astrox or Nanoflare better?
Neither is better overall. Astrox suits players who attack with smashes. Nanoflare suits players who rely on speed and defence. Arcsaber sits in between.
