Key Technologies
Sonic Flare System — High-modulus graphite placed at the tip of the frame increases rigidity where it counts, amplifying repulsion on contact and accelerating the shuttle faster off the string bed.
Wide Profile Frame — A broader frame cross-section reduces twisting and warp during the swing, so more energy transfers cleanly to the shuttle rather than being lost in frame flex.
Isometric Head Shape — Yonex's square frame geometry enlarges the sweet spot by 7% compared to a conventional oval frame. Off-centre hits still fly cleanly — critical for beginners still developing consistent contact.
Aero Frame — Sharp frame edges cut through air resistance, so your swing speed stays high even with a longer frame length.
New Built-in T-Joint — Tighter connection between frame and shaft reduces vibration on impact and improves shot stability during extended rallies.
Who Is This Racket For?
The NF700 Play is aimed squarely at beginners and recreational players who want a fast, easy-to-swing racket from a proven lineup. The hi-flex shaft forgives timing errors — the shaft bends and snaps through impact, adding power even when your technique isn't perfect yet. Headlight balance keeps it nimble at the net and during quick exchanges.
If you're comparing across the NF700 range, Play sits below Game, Tour, and Pro. The materials are simpler (standard graphite vs. M40X or EX-HYPER MG in upper tiers), but the fundamental speed concept — fast clears, headlight feel — is shared across the whole lineup. A solid starting point before stepping up.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between Yonex Nanoflare 700 Play, Game, Tour and Pro?
All four models share the Nanoflare 700's speed concept and head-light balance, but differ in materials and target player level. Play (beginners) uses standard graphite. Game (intermediate) adds higher-grade graphite at key frame zones. Tour and Pro use premium materials like M40X and EX-HYPER MG for maximum repulsion and stability — and are priced accordingly.
Is the Nanoflare 700 Play head-heavy or head-light?
Head-light. This gives it a faster swing speed and better manoeuvrability at the net, making it ideal for speed-based play and quick reactions rather than power smashing.
What tension should I set on the Yonex Nanoflare 700 Play?
Yonex recommends 20–28 lbs for the 4U version. For beginners, 22–24 lbs gives a good balance of power and string durability. Stringing too tight on a hi-flex racket can reduce the shaft's natural snap, so avoid going above 26 lbs unless advised by your stringer.
Is the Nanoflare 700 Play good for singles or doubles?
Both, but it shines in fast doubles exchanges and net play. The head-light balance and hi-flex shaft make it easy to redirect shots quickly — exactly what you need in front-court doubles situations or singles baseline rallies.
Is Yonex Nanoflare 700 Play made in Japan or China?
The NF700 Play is developed in Japan and manufactured in China. The PRO model is the only variant in the NF700 lineup made in Japan.
If you order the Grip, then it will be shipped separately in a corrugated box. The grip will not be applied over the racket to avoid the removal of Barcode/MRP and other useful information. This also helps in understanding that the product is new and unused. Grip color will be assorted/Random, no specific color will be provided.
If you select Custom Stringing, the racket will be strung with the selected string at a maximum of 26 lbs (if the racket supports), otherwise at the maximum tension the racket supports. We don't provide the facility to string more than 26 lbs to avoid transit shock damage.
If you are looking for higher tension, then we suggest that you string it at your end.
There is NO Warranty/Replacement of the strings that break during play, whether that's your first shot or 10th game.
** Custom Stringing Rackets require 2 days extra time for shipping, and such orders can't be cancelled once placed.
