The Apacs Finapi 232 Next Gen is the even-balance, all-round update of Apacs' long-running budget favourite, the Finapi 232. It keeps the value but upgrades the frame to Ultra High Modulus (UHM) Japanese graphite and a lighter 4U build, so it handles quickly for defence and net play while still carrying enough weight to attack.
Quick answer
An even-balance 4U all-rounder (~83 g) in UHM Japanese graphite, slim medium-flex shaft, rated up to 40 lbs, with cover. Best for intermediate players who want one racket for both attack and defence. String it sensibly, not at the maximum.

What changed from the original Finapi 232
The classic Finapi 232 is a head-heavy smashing racket in 24T high-modulus graphite. The Next Gen moves to stiffer UHM Japanese graphite, shifts to an even balance for all-round play, drops to a lighter 4U, and lifts the tension ceiling to 40 lbs. In short: the original is the dedicated attacker, the Next Gen is the do-everything version.
Who it's for
- Intermediate players who want a single versatile racket for singles and doubles.
- Players who value quick handling and control as much as smash power.
- Anyone wanting UHM-graphite build at a budget-to-midrange price.
Who should skip it
- Players who specifically want a head-heavy smashing feel. The original Finapi 232 or the Finapi 232 Reborn lean more that way.
- Complete beginners, who usually do better on a slightly more flexible, forgiving frame first.
- Buyers who need a guaranteed colour. Apacs ships assorted colours in this model.
About that 40 lbs tension
The frame is rated up to 40 lbs, but that is a ceiling, not a target. Stringing any budget racket near its maximum raises the risk of frame cracking. For most players, 24 to 28 lbs gives the best mix of power, control and frame life. We string in-house to a safe level and will advise if you want it higher.
FAQ
Is the Apacs Finapi 232 Next Gen head-heavy or even balance?
Even balance, built for all-round play. If you want head-heavy smash bias, the original Finapi 232 suits that better.
What is the difference between the Finapi 232 and the 232 Next Gen?
The Next Gen uses stiffer UHM Japanese graphite, an even balance, a lighter 4U build and a 40 lbs tension ceiling. The original is head-heavy 24T graphite rated to 38 lbs.
What tension should I string it at?
The frame allows up to 40 lbs, but 24 to 28 lbs suits most players and protects the frame.

If you order the Grip, then it will be shipped separately in a corrugated box. The grip will not be applied over the racket to avoid the removal of Barcode/MRP and other useful information. This also helps in understanding that the product is new and unused. Grip color will be assorted/Random, no specific color will be provided.
If you select Custom Stringing, the racket will be strung with the selected string at a maximum of 26 lbs (if the racket supports), otherwise at the maximum tension the racket supports. We don't provide the facility to string more than 26 lbs to avoid transit shock damage.
If you are looking for higher tension, then we suggest that you string it at your end.
There is NO Warranty/Replacement of the strings that break during play, whether that's your first shot or 10th game.
** Custom Stringing Rackets require 2 days extra time for shipping, and such orders can't be cancelled once placed.
