The Khanna metallic coil cricket bat grip is a polyurethane (PU) grip with a raised coil texture and a double-shade metallic gold finish. The coil rings sit proudly of the handle to add cushioning under the hands and a firm, anti-slip hold when you swing hard.
Made by Khanna Sports in Meerut, it is a PU cricket grip rather than ordinary rubber, which gives it more strength and a longer life on the handle. One grip covers a standard bat, and hard hitters often add a second for more padding.

Why a coil grip
The coil pattern is a run of raised rings rather than a flat surface. That gives your fingers something to lock onto and puts a thin cushion of material between your hands and the handle, which softens the sting on mistimed shots. Players who hit with power tend to prefer the chunkier feel a coil gives.
PU grip vs rubber grip
Khanna prints the lab numbers on the box. The PU grip scores higher than standard rubber on tensile and tear strength, and stretches further before tearing:
| Property | Khanna PU grip | Standard rubber |
|---|---|---|
| Tensile strength | 8.25 N/mm | 6.25 N/mm |
| Tear strength | 5.51 kg/cm | 4.76 kg/cm |
| Elongation | 747% | 673% |
Higher tensile and tear strength means the grip is harder to split when you stretch it over the handle, and the extra elongation lets it wrap tight without tearing.
Who it is for
This grip suits power hitters and anyone who wants extra padding on the handle, since the raised coil takes the edge off heavy contact. The metallic shade also makes it a good pick if you want your bat to stand out, and the PU build helps if you wear through rubber grips quickly.
How to fit the grip
Slide the grip over the bat handle using a grip cone, or roll it down from the top with a little talc, working out any air pockets as you go. To swap it later, cut along the old grip and peel it off.
FAQs
Is a coil grip good for power hitters?
Yes. The raised coil rings add cushioning and a thicker feel, which many big hitters prefer over a flat grip.
Is a PU grip better than a rubber grip?
On Khanna's own box figures the PU grip beats standard rubber on tensile strength, tear strength and stretch, so it tends to last longer and resist splitting. Rubber still works fine and usually costs less.
Will the metallic finish rub off?
The shade is part of the PU, not a sticker, so it holds up well in normal use. Like any grip, the surface will soften and dull after months of heavy play.
Coil or chevron, which should I pick?
Choose coil for a thicker, cushioned feel and extra shock absorption. Choose chevron for a slimmer, tackier handle with closer control.
Will one grip fit my bat?
One grip fits a standard senior bat handle. Many players add a second grip for a thicker, softer feel.
