The Gray-Nicolls 3 Grip Pack puts three different grip profiles in one box, so you can match the feel of your handle to how you bat. Each grip is full length at 30cm and fits standard adult bat handles. The three textures are Traction, Nova and Octopus, and they are not just colour variants. Each one grips differently in the hand.

Traction grip

The Traction grip runs a multi-directional diamond pattern that holds firm even when the handle gets sweaty or the weather turns damp. The rubber is hard-wearing, so it survives long net sessions, and the compound stretches cleanly over the handle without splitting. This is the profile most international players use.

Nova grip

How to fit the grip

Use a grip cone, or roll the grip back onto itself over the handle and unroll it down the length while keeping it centred. Work out any air bubbles as you go. For a fresh handle, remove the old grip first and wipe the handle clean so the new grip sits tight.
